NextGen Woman Initiative is an Afrocentric feminist transformative entity that seeks to increase young women’s participation in governance, leadership, democracy, and political processes that directly affect women. It has the objectives of:-

• Increasing political participation and civic engagements to awaken the political consciousness of young women and enable them to critically observe, comprehend and act on issues affecting their community such as the economy, democracy, and governance
• Capacity building and community outreaches for young women in governance and leadership to enable young women to participate in their community organizing so that they can have a better understanding of issues, and be able to innovate local solutions
• Networking and experience sharing to enable young women make strategic networks that will grow their careers
• Advocacy and movement building at the grassroots to enable young women to interest themselves in policy making and grassroots organizing on issues that directly affect them
• Research and thought leadership to enable young women to engage in evidence-based advocacy
• Leadership development to enhance young women’s leadership skills
• Documentation and storytelling to allow young women to share and learn from each other’s experiences
