The 2022 16 Days of Activism campaign has come to an impactful conclusion at Makerere
University. The campaign, hosted by the School of Women and Gender studies, with
NextGen Women Initiative as a key partner attracted active participation of over 800
students and members of the Makerere University community. The highlight of the
campaign, which was the grand finale of the inter-college debate competition, saw the
College of Veterinary Medicine, Animal Resources and Bio-Security take home the award for
best debating team.The topics for debate included equal participation of women in politics, equal pay for
women in sports, call-out culture, among others. The event was graced by the State
Minister For Gender, and Culture, the Hon. Peace Regius Mutuuzo.
